Build Your Curriculum
Program Outcomes
Define the outcomes students must achieve by graduation and tag each to AACN domains. Every downstream mapping — courses, CLOs, assessments — traces back to these.

  1. Click + Add Program Outcome.
  2. Enter a short code (e.g. PO1) and a full outcome statement.
  3. Tag one or more AACN domains using the domain picker that appears.
  4. Repeat for each program-level outcome before adding courses.
Courses
Build the course catalog with course-level outcomes (CLOs), faculty, term, and credits. Each CLO is tagged to program outcomes and AACN competencies and given an I / P / M strength level.

  1. Click + New Course and fill in code, title, term, year, and credits.
  2. Expand the course card and click + Add Course Outcome.
  3. For each CLO, tag it to the relevant Program Outcomes and AACN competencies.
  4. Set a strength level: Introduced, Practiced, or Mastered.
  5. Use ▮ Pause to mark a course inactive without deleting it, or ▣ Select for bulk actions.
Assessments
Link summative assessments to specific CLOs to record where outcomes are formally measured. Appears in coverage and gap analysis.

  2. Select the course this assessment belongs to.
  3. Link it to one or more CLOs and AACN sub-competencies.
Analyze Your Program
Outcome Map
Visual pathway from each Program Outcome through its CLOs to its assessments. Useful for accreditation documentation and spotting coverage gaps at a glance.

  1. Open Outcome Map — all POs are listed with their linked CLOs and assessments.
  2. Click any Program Outcome row to highlight its full pathway.
  3. Rows with no CLOs or assessments indicate coverage gaps.
Alignment Matrix
Shows each PO’s mastery level (I / P / M) across courses arranged in term order. The mastery swimlane surfaces sequencing issues and uncovered outcomes in one view.

  1. Rows are Program Outcomes; columns are courses sorted by term.
  2. Cell color shows the highest CLO strength for that PO in that course.
  3. Look for gaps (empty cells in late terms) or jumps (M with no prior I).
AACN Matrix
Three sub-views — Coverage Table, Radar Wheel, and Gap Analysis — show how well your program covers the 10 AACN domains and their sub-competencies.

  1. Coverage Table: heat-map of CLO count per sub-competency.
  2. Wheel: radar chart of domain balance — a lopsided shape indicates uneven coverage.
  3. Gap Analysis: lists sub-competencies with zero CLOs tagged to them.
Competency Progression
Tracks I → P → M progression for each PO across terms. Reveals where outcomes plateau or never reach mastery by program end.

  1. Rows are Program Outcomes; columns are terms in sequence.
  2. Enable Gaps only to filter to POs that are missing an I, P, or M level.
  3. A PO with M in Term 1 and nothing after suggests it was introduced too early.
Sequencing Checker
Detects logic errors in CLO progression: Mastered before Introduced, Practiced before Introduced, or Mastered with no Practice step in between.

  1. Errors are generated automatically from your course data.
  2. Each issue shows the affected PO and the courses involved.
  3. Fix by adjusting the strength level on the relevant CLO (I / P / M).
Redundancy Alerts
Identifies POs covered by only one course (a fragile dependency) and POs that are heavily over-mapped relative to others in the program.

  1. Single-course dependencies are flagged as fragile — if that course is removed, the PO loses all coverage.
  2. Over-mapped POs may be crowding out other competencies; consider redistributing CLOs.
Action Plan
An auto-generated prioritised list of recommended fixes compiled from all analysis views. The fastest way to know what to work on next.

  1. Click ↻ Refresh to regenerate the list from current data.
  2. Items are sorted by severity — address Critical items first.
  3. Each item has a Go fix it link that takes you directly to the affected view.
NCJMM Map ABSN
Maps the six NCJMM cognitive skills (Recognize Cues, Analyze Cues, Prioritize Hypotheses, Generate Solutions, Take Action, Evaluate Outcomes) across courses. Visible for the ABSN program only.

  1. Switch to the ABSN program using the selector at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Open NCJMM Map — the view will appear in the nav automatically.
  3. Tag CLOs to NCJMM cognitive skills via the tagging interface on the Courses view.
  4. The Matrix view shows skill coverage density across the curriculum.
Tools
Error Checker
Full data-integrity scan that flags broken links, missing required fields, orphaned CLOs, and curriculum logic errors. Run this before exporting or submitting for review.

  1. Click ▸ Run Full Check.
  2. Review each flagged issue — severity is indicated by color (Critical / Warning / Info).
  3. Use the Go fix it link on each issue to navigate directly to the affected item.
AI Import
Paste syllabus text or drop a PDF and Claude will extract course information, CLOs, and AACN competency mappings automatically. Review the draft before accepting.

  1. Click ✦ AI Import in the sidebar.
  2. Select the program level and paste or upload the syllabus text.
  3. Click ✦ Extract with Claude and wait for the draft to appear.
  4. Review the extracted courses, CLOs, and tags.
  5. Click Import accepted to merge the data into your program.

Type a free-text prompt — or choose from AI-suggested report types — to generate a written curriculum analysis report. Download the result as a Word-compatible document.
